Australia Day CruiseSydney Harbour Day Cruise
Australia Day is the busiest and best day of the year on Sydney Harbour, and Luna puts you right in the middle of it. From a vintage timber cruiser with an open-air rooftop you'll have the Ferrython, the tall ships parade and the aerial displays unfolding around you, with cold drinks in hand and pizza coming out of the wood-fire oven all afternoon. No jostling for a patch of grass at Barangaroo, no queues for a drink — just a full day on the water with the whole harbour putting on a show.

The day
How the day runs
You'll board mid-morning to a cold drink and head straight out into the harbour before the crowds build. Luna takes up position for the Ferrython, then follows the tall ships as they make their way up towards the Bridge — close enough to see the crews working the rigging.
From there the afternoon settles into the good part: pizza out of the wood-fire oven, music on the rooftop, the bar open and a slow cruise around the bays and past the Opera House. We're back at the wharf late afternoon, sunburnt and satisfied, with plenty of daylight left in the day.

Weather & the fine print
- Weather: the cruise operates rain, hail or shine. Every guest can be under cover on the lower and middle decks, and the rooftop stays open whenever conditions allow. Cruises are only cancelled if authorities close the harbour or the master deems it unsafe, in which case you'll be offered a transfer or refund.
- Schedule: departure and return times are approximate. Exact times and the wharf number are sent closer to the date and can change with water traffic, weather or harbour conditions.
- Boarding: please arrive at least 30 minutes before departure. The vessel cannot wait for late guests and no refund is given for a missed departure.
- Tickets: your ticket is valid for the named event only and must be presented at boarding. Tickets may be transferred to another guest — email us with the name before the day.
- Responsible service of alcohol: Luna is a licensed vessel. Photo ID is required for alcohol service, and our crew may refuse service or refuse boarding to anyone who is intoxicated or behaving unsafely, without refund.
- Conduct and safety: all guests must follow crew instructions at all times. No BYO alcohol, no smoking or vaping inside, no glass on the rooftop, and no tall, narrow or pointed heels — small chunky heels are fine.
- Belongings: guests are responsible for their own personal property. The organiser and vessel operator are not responsible for lost, damaged or unattended items.
- Media: photography and video may be taken on board for promotional use. Let us know before departure if you'd prefer not to appear.
- Refunds: refunds are available up to 30 days before the event unless the ticket terms state otherwise. All other enquiries go to info@lunacruises.com.au.
