The process

How it comes together

Start with the date, roughly how many people and what you're hoping the day feels like. That's enough for a first conversation — you don't need a run sheet. From there we'll work out the route, the boarding point, the timings and the food. Wood-fire pizza is the default and most groups stay with it, but there are catering menus and platter options if the occasion calls for something else. There's a fully licensed bar with drinks packages and BYO options. Bring your own music, your own decorations, your own suppliers. If you want the boat to go somewhere specific at a specific time — a headland at sunset, a quiet bay for an hour — tell us and we'll plan for it.

That's normal, and it's a fine place to start. Give us the date, a rough number of people and the occasion, and we'll come back with options rather than a form to fill in. Most charters get shaped over a couple of conversations.

Yes, and we do these regularly. It's a quiet, unhurried charter — we'll find a location that means something to your family, hold position for as long as you need, and the crew will stay out of the way. Tell us what you're planning when you get in touch and we'll handle the arrangements privately rather than treating it like any other booking.

Within reason, yes. Sydney Harbour gives you a lot to work with, and if there's a particular headland, bay or view that matters to the occasion, tell us and we'll build the route around it. We'll be straight with you if something isn't practical on the tide or the timing.

Yes. The timber, the brass and the wood-fire oven give you something a modern charter boat can't, and we've done everything from brand content to product launches. Tell us your crew size, gear and the light you need and we'll work out the schedule.

Yes — BYO food and BYO drinks are both available, subject to an amenity fee and a quick vessel check before your charter. There's also catering and drinks packages plus a fully licensed bar if you'd rather not organise it.

Both. The harbour is sheltered and Luna is a heavy timber vessel, so the movement is gentle. Boarding is level at the wharf. If you've got guests with mobility needs, tell us early and we'll pick the boarding point that suits them best.

Yes. We operate day and night, 365 days a year. Daytime and weekday charters are far more available than Friday and Saturday nights, and often better value.

All of them. Just tell us who's coming, what they're bringing and when they need to board, and we'll build access into the schedule.

The charter runs. Every guest can be under cover — the lower deck is fully enclosed and the upper deck is covered. In the rare case of genuinely unsafe conditions we'll reschedule or refund.

King Street Wharf, Rose Bay, Circular Quay and more by arrangement. King Street is the easiest for most groups coming from the CBD. We'll confirm the exact berth and boarding time in advance.

Summer weekends fill first. Weekdays, winter dates and daytime charters are much more open. If your date is fixed, get in touch early — if you're flexible, there's more availability than most people expect.

No — Luna is not wheelchair accessible. Stairs connect the decks, so guests need to be able to step on and off the vessel, and prams can't be taken on board. If anyone in your group has specific access needs, get in touch and we'll talk through what's possible.
